upside down dreaming

Watching you waiting for the evening bus that takes you off into the night/ it whisks you away it really does/ it shows you ghosts of the lives of past friends and foes and unravels all your woes/ it chills your bones and froze your toes and nipped your finger tips/ Whips and chains are on the floor and children's faces floating fearlessly above your head/ you look above and see them cry for you/ their tears well up and fall upon your weary head/ you lay back down and go right to bed/ you close your eyes and hear the whispers of the children's souls/ they dance and prance around you but there's nothing you can do/ you lay there motionless and helpless too/ it's just me/ it's just you and you open your eyes and see daylight fall/ during the middle of night/ but it only pours in through your shades and on your house and yard/ you look outside and it's dark all around except for your house, you look up into the midnight sky and see a radiant beam of light from the Heavens bathing your house in sunlight. You turn around and turn to stone and there you stood for a thousand years until...
